Today is the first United Nations International Day of Happiness, a day dedicated to spreading happiness to others.
The website features a pledge you can take affirming your commitment to bring more happiness to others; stories of happy heroes who bring happiness to others; and ideas and actions for spreading happiness.
Really, spreading happiness is about being kind to others, and, as research shows, being kind to others brings us more happiness ourselves.
As humane educators, we talk about kindness a lot; it’s a core tenet of creating a better world. To bring a little happiness to your day, and help you spread a little kindness, here’s a round-up of random posts we’ve done about kindness:
